“I loved Sault College. I graduated from Sault College in 2011 and completed the 2-year Business Administration program. I absolutely loved the atmosphere at Sault College – it was positive and engaging. The Professors were also very knowledgeable and interactive with the students which helped create an inviting environment. I continued on to University where I received my BBA and to this day I look back and continue to favour my memories and experiences from Sault College the most. I highly recommend this College to future students. I’ve been to two colleges and one university in Ontario, and Sault College continues to be my favourite.”

~ Tiana Bugyra, Class of 2011

"At the end of the day, the support and advice I got from the teaching staff was just awesome. They really helped me to develop as a business person while I started a small business with a fellow graduate. Eventually I gained employment in the financial field which was also made possible due to a recommendation from another fellow classmate who worked there at the time. Now I've moved to the Insurance field as an Insurance Agent and couldn't imagine better success; success I don't think I could have achieved without the one-on-one time I got from dedicated teachers like Shawna Deplonty, Joseph Lucchetti, John Mitchell, John Cavaliere, and many others. I've made life-long friends and business contacts throughout the whole experience so really, I'm very proud to be a Sault College grad!"

~ Cory Coulter, Class of 2007

"The business faculty at Sault College gave me the confidence in myself to believe that I could do well as a mature student and gave me the tools to prepare me for the transition to Algoma University.  To this day, I still have the “Congratulations” card that my professors Shawna Deplonty, Grant Dunlop and John Cavaliere gave me. It is one of those meaningful mementos as it reiterates my success and their involvement and desire to help me achieve it."

~ Melissa Ouimette, Class of 2006

"My experience at Sault College is one I will always remember. The coursework was more than just studying a book, but analyzing real businesses in the global environment and preparing innovative recommendations to improve them. Sault College has helped prepare me for a world of opportunities."

~ Brent King  MA, BBA, Class of 2007

"My experience at Sault College was a great start to my post-secondary education. After graduating high school and spending one year on rotary youth exchange in Germany, I didn't really know what I wanted to do. So I took the Business Program at Sault College and enjoyed every day of it. Coming to class and listening to the profs talk about current events in the business world relating to our city, lives and classes really made it fun to learn and easy to relate it to real life.

After graduating from the Business Program at Sault College, I transferred my credits to Algoma University using the diploma to degree program. I then went on to graduate from Laurentian University - Algoma University Campus with an Honors degree Bachelor of Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting.

Having both educations has opened doors to many opportunities because I now have the practical and theoretical skills to enter the workforce.

Three months after my university graduation, I accepted a job working for the SIS Group in Sault Ste. Marie in the accounting department. My main duties include payroll and accounting for their group of companies including Superior Industrial Services, Hydraulic Solutions, SIS Manufacturing and Pileria's Interiors. I am still currently working there and enjoy what I'm doing. Even though I went on to graduate from university, most of my daily duties include skills learned from Sault College and I still find my college degree as valuable as my university degree.

I would recommend anyone indecisive about their careers to consider taking business at Sault College as a stepping stone and education to their future careers. The least it can do is teach life skills in the way our world turns around us."
