About Sault College’s Health and Wellness Centre
The new $12.5 million Student Health & Wellness Centre is a vital component of our evolving college curriculum and will involve the construction of a 40,000 square foot facility consisting of:

• Academic labs to enhance student learning
• Fitness rooms to promote student & employee health and wellness
• Meeting space to host the sharing of ideas and information
• New gymnasium to better accommodate varsity sports
• New Student Life Centre

Along with offering a greatly improved fitness and recreation area for our students and community members, this project is critical to the curriculum of the College in programs of study such as:

• Police Foundations
• Protection Security and Investigation
• Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant
• Fitness & Health Promotion.

The Sault College Students’ Union has identified the new building as a major priority with a commitment of $3.9 million towards this project. Their contribution combined with a significant portion of Sault College’s Inspiring Growth Capital Campaign funds, which includes a $1 million pledge from the City of Sault Ste. Marie, and a $4 million grant from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities will make the new student centre a reality in the summer of 2013.
