1 Year - 2 Semesters Ontario College Certificate
This program prepares you for entry-level positions in any area of the food service industry. The program includes food theory classes, followed by hands-on preparation of a variety of recipes. Students are integrated into our in-house restaurant, The Gallery. They also prepare foods for our cafeteria.
Sanitation, Kitchen Management, Food Management, and Food Cost Control courses broaden the basic skills of the student. Placement in our College cafeteria is part of this program, allowing customer service skills development.
This program is also designed for students wishing to advance to the Culinary Skills - Chef Training program, but requiring some upgrading.
