Program Overview
The General Arts and Science – Arts program will provide you with an opportunity to complete a concentration of courses in the Arts, including drama, creative writing, film and art appreciation. If you are considering an education or career in the arts, humanities or human services, this certificate gives you an opportunity to explore the different genres of art and enhance your career potential. Once you successfully complete two semesters of full-time studies (minimum of 30 credits required, including the mandatory courses CMM110-3 College Comunication Skills and GAS112-3 Introduction to the World of Art), you will be awarded a General Arts and Science – Arts Ontario College Certificate.After completion of this certificate, you may choose to continue your post-secondary education by applying to another program at Sault College or another postsecondary institution. If you have completed a diploma in the community services area, you may want to complete the General Arts and Science – Arts to enhance your diploma and gain additional courses and skills that would be of use within your area of employment.
