Graduates of the one year Electrical Techniques Program have a basic knowledge of electrical functions within a controlled electrical environment. Graduates are able to assist in the installation, testing, maintaining, repairing, analyzing and troubleshooting specified electrical circuits, equipment and systems, under the supervision of a qualified person.
Graduates may find employment in the manufacturing sector, as assemblers, testers, or as salespersons for an electrical parts supplier. Graduates may also find employment as electrician apprentices and may be granted some credits toward apprenticeship certification.
