Information Technology Services is regularly looking for opportunities to provide our students with the opportunity to work with us. If you know and enjoy computers, consider joining our team as the following positions become available.

Student positions in ITS are posted by the Employment Services Office on our Student Portal when we are accepting applications. Applications for the following positions are being accepted in August and early September.

You do not have to be a computer "geek". Applications are encouraged from students enrolled in ALL College programs - with software, hardware and internet skills ranging from beginner to intermediate or advanced levels.

All positions are part-time and we will set the work hours to accommodate your academic schedule!

Student IT Support Assistant - 10 hours per week

  • assist other students in utilizing the Student Portal and LMS
  • assist other students in utilizing various software and hardware technologies available to them to present their assignments and projects.
  • assist in the documentation and testing of instructions available for students to review when utilizing the technologies available to them
  • provide advice to other students regarding alternative means to accomplish various IT functions such as anti-virus and anti-spam protection and cleaning, software installation and/or advice on resolving problems with personal equipment
  • referring students to appropriate ITS resources for additional assistance.
  • assist other students in utilizing various software and hardware technologies that they may have on their home/personal computers
  • assist in the documentation and testing of instructions available for students to utilize for common activities
  • complete virus removal and general computer maintenance functions
  • provide advice to other students regarding alternative means to accomplish various IT functions such as anti-virus and anti-spam protection and cleaning, software installation and/or advice on resolving problems with home/personal equipment
  • ensures that a waiver is signed and appropriate licensing is in place prior to completing any work on personal equipment.
  • assist with the cleaning and routine maintenance of computer equipment in the labs

Lab Assistants - 12 hours per week (evenings and weekends) - APPLICATION Deadline - Closed - Positions have been filled for 2010-2011

  • provide technical support to users of the labs
  • troubleshoot problems and resolve or refer problem to regular staff for resolution
  • respond to problems with network accounts, print quotas, disk quotas etc.
  • assist faculty and students in understanding the ways the labs can be used
  • cleaning and routine maintenance of computer equipment
  • assist with preparing documentation to inform students of the software and hardware available in the labs
