LMS at Sault College - how to video

Not able to log into the LMS – account problems

If you know that your password works, close your Browser and retry. If that does not work, please bring your student card to the lab support office on the 2nd Floor of E-Wing.  If you have an LMS account, they can reset your password.  If they determine that you do not have an LMS account, they will ask you to email or visit your professor with your situation.  There may have been a problem adding your account and it is your responsibility to let your professor know that you are not able to access the course via the LMS.

LMS Mail

This tool is used to contact anyone within the course lms mail class list.  Only the selected names will see the message.

Forwarding LMS mail to your Sault College email account

1. Log into LMS
2. Click My Settings in the Top Right corner
3. Select Edit Profile
4. Enter your Sault College email address in the E-mail box
5. Select Save
6. Select the My Tools Options tab
7. Search for the Mail settings
8. Check the box below Mail forwarding
Note: You must use LMS mail if you wish to respond to the mail message.

Discussion

This tool is used to post items of interest to the entire class.  When you use the discussion / bulletin board tool to post a new item or reply to an existing item, your entire class, including professors/instructors/support, will see your posted item.  If you wish to respond to someone privately, use the Email tool.

When you log into LMS, you may recieve a pop-up message, The application's digital signature has been verified. Do you want to run the application? It is safe and necessary to run the application.
