Sault College’s Online Programming Continues to Expand
Registration for the Winter Session Opens Today
Registration for the January intake of Sault College’s online course offerings – including its five newest online certificate programs – opens today! The College’s online programming continues to grow and diversify with the introduction of the following new online certificate programs: Water Treatment and Distribution System Operations, Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Operations, Victimology, Criminal Psychology and Behaviour, and Financial Technology.
With the addition of these new online certificates, Sault College is now offering over 35 online certificate options for learners! Registration can be done by calling 705.759.6700 option #3!
There is no better time to take advantage of our many course offerings, which can be taken completely online and on a part-time basis. Our newest additions include:
- Water Treatment and Distribution System Operations Certificate, Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Operations Certificate: designed for individuals who want to work in the in-demand fields of water and wastewater operations, professions that are regulated by the Ontario Water Wastewater Certification Office (OWWCO). Graduates of these programs will gain knowledge to write various level certification examinations required to be a certified water operator or wastewater operator. Courses in both programs are recognized as Continuing Education Units (CEUS) by OWWCO so the program may also be of interest in those working as water or wastewater operators.
- Financial Technology Certificate: will provide learners with cutting-edge training on FinTech application areas such blockchain technology, Artificial Intelligence in Finance, and Big Data.
- Victimology Certificate: designed for professionals who provide services to and advocate for victims of crime (e.g. crisis response, social services, child protection) and individuals who want to be able to work with victims of crime. A broad range of topics will be covered in this program including domestic violence, elder abuse, and human trafficking.
- Criminal Psychology and Behaviour Certificate: explores why individuals become criminals, why individuals are attracted to those with deviant behaviours, and what methods are used in the rehabilitation of criminals and victims. Topics covered include domestic and workplace violence, cults and terrorism, and human trafficking.
Learners can complete just one course or work towards completing an entire certificate – it’s completely up to the learner!
These new programs join 11 other recently approved online certificate programs: ECE Leadership, ECE Resource Consulting, Nephrology Nursing, Perioperative Nursing, Social Media and Digital Communications, Business for Trades, Records and Information Management, Children’s Mental Health, and Addictions and Mental Health Stu dies, Client and Customer Relations, and Instructional Design.
