The Opportunity: An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Technologist to provide maintenance as assigned by the Maintenance Manager for all Sault College aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with the privileges authorized on their Transport Canada issued Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License and provide written certification for that maintenance work.

What you need to be successful:

  • two year Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) diploma from a Transport Canada approved college program or a certificate of successful completion of an AME training correspondence course 
  • a valid M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License as issued by Transport Canada
  • maintenance experience working with Piper Seminole Aircraft is preferred
  • maintenance experience working with Zlin Aircraft is considered an asset
  • avionics experience is considered an asset
  • WinAir experience is considered an asset
  • minimum of 30 months or 4,500 hours experience working as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice under the direct supervision of a licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • experience maintaining single and multi-engine piston powered light aircraft considered an asset
  • a valid driver’s licence
  • flexibility in working independently and as part of a team

These are full-time bargaining unit positions, 40 hours/week, Payband I ($35.04 - $40.60/hr), starting rate $35.04/hour.
