Do you love making a difference? Community Services programs were meant for you, and you were meant to change the world.

If making a difference is your passion, you will find it here. You’re selfless and committed to improving the lives of others. You’re probably too humble to admit this out loud, so we said it for you…we hope you don’t mind. Now let’s talk about how we can support your career goals.

Child and Youth Care is your first step to a career supporting the lives of children, youth and families. Through this innovative program, you will receive training in areas such as counselling, addiction, sexuality, mental health, and special needs. Field placements and a cooperative learning environment are designed to see you excel in your career helping others.

Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program provides exclusive research-based training opportunities for students. Our ECE program is one of few in Ontario to offer training in programs from The Hanen Centre®.  This approach to education promotes children’s social, language and literacy development. With an ECE diploma, you can register with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) to use the title of Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE). You can also continue your education at the university level by transferring eligible earned credits to partnering schools.

While we’re talking, we know you’d make a difference as a social service worker too! Our two Social Service Worker (SSW) programs will provide you with the theories and approaches to support social justice and well-being. You can specialize with our Social Service Worker - Indigenous program where you will learn how to practice with a culturally-competent approach, demonstrating an increased knowledge of Indigenous issues and interventions.
