Nail Techniques

This course will provide studnets with theoretical knowledge of the structure of the nails, development and growth of the nails and nail disorders and diseases. Students will develop skills in conducting client consultations andwill develop the practical skills required to perform manicure and pedicure procedures, hand and foot massage as well as additional spa treatments. Achieving a perfect regular and French polish application is stressed. Emphasis will be on the practice of safety, sanitation and disinfection of workstations and implemenents. Students will be introduced to the Spa at Sault College where emphasis will be on customer service, retailing of p;roducts and services and the overall development of practical skills.
