Cougars Take Big Swing, Hire Golf Coaches

(Sault Ste. Marie, ON Jan 27, 2020)

The Sault College Cougars are thrilled to announce the hiring of Michael McMillan and Kyle Thibeault as Co-Head coaches for the College’s men’s golf team. McMillan and Thibeault are both former university athletes who will reinvigorate the golf program for the Cougars, which was on hiatus for the 2019-2020 athletic season.

McMillan was a dual sport athlete at American College in Springfield Massachusetts where he played NCAA Div. I hockey and Div. II golf. McMillan also had experience playing professional hockey in the SPHL as a member of the Huntsville Havoc.

Thibeault was a four year college athlete for Olivet College in Michigan where he golfed in NCAA Div. III competing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Both men will look to bring Cougars golf to new heights when they hit the links at Crimson Ridge for the 2020-2021 season.
