In this course students will explore relationships to land, community, and self, while gaining a deeper understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems, environmental ethics, and sustainable practices. Students will explore and articulate Indigenous ways of knowing and learn to engage the Grandmother teachings of reciprocity, responsibility and kindness. The course offers students a unique opportunity to learn from the land, Elders, the community, and each other. Through hands-on activities, storytelling, reflection, and collaborative learning, students will consider how land-based education can inform their personal and professional lives.
