Better Jobs Ontario

Are you currently unemployed and want to start a new career path? Explore your education and career options by attending Sault College with financial funding from Better Jobs Ontario, formerly Second Career.

Return to school to be retrained with Better Jobs Ontario and receive up to $28,000 towards your program if you qualify for funding. Receive skills training for in-demand jobs  and financial support  for tuition, books, student fees, supplies and more. You may also be eligible for additional funding including childcare, disability-related supports and living away from home.

Better Jobs Ontario aims to help you rejoin the workforce quickly. Funding is eligible for programs running 52-weeks or less, including micro-credentials.

If you are unemployed or working a temporary job you may qualify  and can still receive EI, OW or ODSP.

Were you laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic? If you're looking to now retrain for a job in a sector with more employment opportunities, then you may also now qualify for Better Jobs Ontario.
