Hatha Yoga

Classroom Learning  |  CED1993
Cost:    $71.99

Join certified yoga teacher, Stephanie Guindon, for this 8-week Hatha yoga course. Hatha yoga is a style that is great for beginners or for people who are new to yoga and want to learn correct alignment/posture in poses, modifications, and breathing and meditation techniques. It is a form of light/moderate exercise that develops strength, flexibility, bodily relaxation, and mental concentration. Among many other benefits to practicing yoga, it increases self-awareness and builds a stronger mind-body connection. Classes are relatively moderate, slow-paced, and focus on connecting breathing exercises to yoga poses. They involve a slower sequence/flow of more static posture holds that focus on breathing techniques, the body, and the mind. Practice often begins with a short meditation session, follows with some light warm-up`s, continues to a sequence/flow of controlled movements and gentle stretches of the full body, and ends with meditation in shavasana.
