Join us to celebrate the languages, cultures, and traditions of  Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit students with Indigenous Welcome during your first week of classes. With an ISU Information Session on August 27 and Bannock on a Stick on August 28. The first week of classes, join us for our main event — Indigenous Student Welcome on September 5. We're ready to help you get connected and be prepared for success.

Are you an Indigenous student starting your program in September?

Connect and meet with your Indigenous Students' Union (ISU) members and the Indigenous Studies faculty and staff on campus in the the "Where We Gather" Student Centre.

Get to know our amazing team and how we are here to help you throughout your time at Sault College - we will share information on resources, services,  supports, and special events available to you as an Indigenous student. 

Here are just a few of the things you'll learn about:

  • Indigenous Students’ Union
  • Indigenous student scholarships, bursaries, and awards
  • Instructors, staff, Elders-in-Residence
  •  Special events like feasts and the annual powwow
  • Counselling, tutoring, and academic advising
