Meal Options

Meal plans are not required in Residence.

Meal plan options for the 2023-24 academic year will be released to the Ray Lawson Hall applicants as soon as information is confirmed with our providers.

See below for dining options that are available   to anyone looking to dine on campus.

 

Within Residence

Kitchen Facilities

Residence is equipped with fully-functional shared kitchen facilities. There is one kitchen on first floor,   two kitchens on second floor, and two kitchens on third floor.

Each kitchen is equipped with a sink, counter to prepare foods, fridge/freezer, Keurig Coffee Maker, stove/oven, toaster, toaster oven, and microwave.

Please bring your own Keurig coffee pods, cooking utensils, cutlery, pots, pans, etc.

Students are allowed to bring their own mini-fridge (5 cu ft). Please remember, we do not have elevators in Residence - stairs only.

Cafeteria

At our cafeteria operated by Chartwells, they offer a wide variety of foods, including vegetarian options and “balanced choices” for students who prefer healthier selections. Students who have special dietary needs, such as Halal, can speak with the the staff and special arrangements will be made.

You will find various stations with fresh daily soups, an assortment of daily prepared sandwiches, salads, and snacks to pick up and go, and cooked to order all-day breakfast. Grill & Co.,   Menutainment   and     Kitchen & Co   serve up chef-prepared entrees all day long.   Pizza Pizza    serves up hot, delicious pizza, wings,  boneless bites and sides, we also offer Tim Hortons Express for a hot beverage or pastry. Whatever you're craving, our Marketplace Café has something you'll love.

Tim Hortons

Found in our Common Link, purchase a hot drink, pastry, sandwich or much more  from our full service  takeout restaurant and enjoy it in the comfy seating through the link or  take it on the go during your busy day.

Subway

Also found in our Common Link next to Tim Hortons, grab  lunch to go or make yourself at home in the link for some quiet or with friends to enjoy   a sandwich, salad or more at our full service takeout restaurant.

Odeno 

 (OH-den-OH) Ojibwe meaning “a place where many hearts gather”

Your Student Life Centre   is a comfortable, licensed space for students to hang out and enjoy “outside of the books” student life including freshly prepared food at a reasonable price. Found at the end of the Common Link, Odeno always has music, fun on the screen and someone you know just waiting for you to join them. Much of SCSU’s programming will take place in Odeno – so the fun starts here!
